Bren Cukier is a Polish-American writer and director whose debut narrative short film THURSDAY (“CZWARTEK” in Polish) screened at festivals worldwide.

Currently residing in Los Angeles, Bren blends documentary perspective with narrative filmmaking, marrying her experience in fashion and art photography to fully encapsulate nuanced portraits of complex characters.

Her work has been featured by platforms including NOWNESS, VOGUE, NoBudge, GLAMOUR, ELLE, Directors Notes and Film Shortage.

She was selected as a member of the jury at the most recent Oscar-qualifying RiverRun International Film Festival, where her film won a Special Jury Prize for social impact the year prior.
